Rory is turning into a very mature young lady. ;)
She makes tiny little squeaky noises when ever she sees Maggie, and tries to coax her to come over. Which, strangely, works. Those two seem to love each other, although I have to supervise, as Rory likes to pull kitty ears. We are working on "gentle" and "kitty's gonna scratch you."
Rory loves technology, unavoidable in our house. Cell phones are especially awesome, and she steals them with impunity. She also throws little leg kicking tantrums of panicked irritation if said phone is taken from her. It's hilarious. She actually tries to convince she will explode if the phone is not returned immediately to her.
She really likes books, and I am THRILLED she didn't get Ryan's anti-pleasure reading gene. She loves to turn pages and point at pictures. And, of course, at bedtime she gets very annoyed when story time ends and sleep time begins.
She's getting a lot of hair, and she's so funny and smiley. Morning is her favorite. She nurses and snuggles, then plays with Maggie and hurls herself onto Daddy for kisses (which she gives with her mouth wide open, and then licks your face).
She is starting to get really comfortable at her baby gym class. This week was the first time she seemed comfortable and like she belonged there. When the babies pushed the air log I stood in front of her instead of behind her. She pushed it like a pro instead of falling backwards onto me and screaming. When it was time to play and share toys she grabbed my hands and pulled me over, the plopped down to a sit all by herself. She got very excited about the bubbles, a little more assertive when the older babies stole her toys, and did lots and lots of clapping. It was fun to see her move out her usual observation and get involved!
