Covert Operations

Last night was our first night out with friends since we found out about the uterine parasite. We were celebrating our friend Daniel's 30th birthday at a bar in Overland Park.

Thankfully, Kansas has outlawed smoking everywhere, so being in a bar wasn't an issue. I had a soda and fries, Ryan drank a beer, and we pretended my exhaustion came from working on the deck all day. Which was partly true.

I was bummed that Court and Tam didn't make it (Court spaced it), but kind of glad that Tam's freaky 6th sense wasn't there. I'm fairly certain she would have taken one look at me and said, "Ohmygod (it's always one word with her)! You're pregnant!" So, though we missed seeing them, it was kind of a relief.

Today we're at 5 weeks! Two more weeks till I pass the point I miscarried last time. I think. The three doctors I saw all gave me different due dates, and because I'd gone off birth control right before, I wasn't sure when I ovulated. But 7 weeks is about right.

So far no weight gain, which is right this early. Getting more and more easily nauseated. So, the fun begins...
