We've been doing a half-ass attempt at potty training for a few weeks. Rory can be a little slow to warm up to ideas, so we've been giving her stickers for sitting on her potty. Naked, fully clothed, we don't care. Just sit on it.
In the last week, she has started sitting on it without her diaper, and we were enthusiastic, but not expecting anything. And then today, she peed for the first time on her potty after she got up from her nap. And when I got home, while she was still dry, she did it again. And then she took a bath, watched her show, and was dry when she went AGAIN before bed. And this time, she went, got up because she was distracted, and then decided she wasn't done, and went some more.
I'm so freaking impressed with her! She got lots of praise, stickers, even chocolate milk, hugs, and then we had fun trying to catch popcorn in our mouths. We may be ready to buy underwear by the end of the week if she stays dry till then.
