The birthing room

The nice thing about birthing at home and having intense nesting instincts is you can, kinda, build your nest.

From left to right, we have:
A ziplock pads full of herbs, pads, stretchy undies, and a squirt bottle. The squirt bottle and herbs are for a cleansing potion (my midwife is a good witch) to help with healing.

A hose, which will go to the bathroom (door open) to fill the tub.

The tub (which I desperately want to fill and use right now). If I sit in it, my head barely clears the edge. This is a fancy model, including a cup holder and an inflatable seat. It has on the liner (allowing for multiple uses).

The green and blue medical pads and the air blower for the tub (to be moved).

Bed made up with old sheets, a vinyl table cloth (fuzzy side up, vinyl down), and an old comforter.

A vinyl tablecloth on the floor, to help anchor the tub and provide carpet protection between it and the bed.

Trustee sidekick and worried birth buddy (worried because the air blower was louder than she thought it should have been).

Sewing machine (because I still have to sew lots of diapers, as the repair kit finally came today).

Missing:
Eucalyptus candles
Computer and playlist
An extra chair for Ryan/Chrissy (photog)/Sarah
Sarah's Rubbermaid tub of goodies.

I'm resisting the urge to redo the whole room (which was never very done to begin with, we just put things in as needed). Like painting the walls, reupholstering that ugly-ass chair, installing a dimmer switch, etc.
