Bootstraps and all

I'm really dedicated to getting out of this.

And all good projects have a name. I thought about "Operation Happy Face," but I'm really good at happy faces that don't go deeper than my teeth.

So, introducing...

Operation: Happy Heart

I started yesterday. I made myself dress up for quilt guild, just so I felt a little bit together. I was rewarded with compliments about my outfit and shoes as soon as I arrived, which helped. Then I met a couple I know for drinks, and sort of bled all over them, but it was good to actually share. I always worry the shit in my life is too dark for people. They aren't interested in my problems.

This weekend I'm taking myself shoe shopping and going to an embroidery happy hour (eat drink stitch) to do fun things for me.

I also bought Rory and Andrew's ComicCon outfits - Tiny Lt Aurora (Uhura) and Capt. Kirk will be freaking adorable. And Rory is doing extra chores to pay for a picture with George Takei. So, so cute.
